Test Robots.txt File Up Before Adding It To Your Website

If you have or want to hide some content on your website from Google search, you don't want the content to be indexed by google search, definitely robots.txt file is the perfect choice for you. By adding robots.txt file to your website, you'll be able not only to hide a single or some contents easily, but you'll even be able to hide as many directories as you want. After all, you will even be able to hide the whole contents on your website if you want to.

Here i'm not gonna talk about How to create and add robots.txt file onto a website, here i'm gonna talk about How to test robots.txt file so you know if the robots file you have created is realy working as expected before you add it onto your website, cause a single wrong parameter in the file could get your whole contents, your website, unindexable of google search, it's the same term with blocked by google search i think.

How To Check Out If A Robots.txt File Is Working As Expected

Actually the question shouldn't be how i think, but where. If you want to check out a robots.txt file so you can make sure that the file is okay for your website, you can use Google Webmaster's robots.txt tester. It's easy to use, other robots.txt testers out there are easy to use.

Go to Google Webmaster > Click on any screenshot of your site > Health > Blocked URLs

You'll find there are two text boxes here, the first one is to be filled with your parameter, your robots.txt file, and the second box is to be filled with your website address. The both boxes are normally filled outomatically, and there is a warning too on the page if your website has any trouble with robots.txt file, like Googlebot is blocked from http://j-smith-site.blogspot.com/

However, you are going to test a new robots.txt file here right. Well, you are going to fill the text boxes yourself, and you know already what are the text boxes must be filled with, don't you?

After you fill the both boxes, then click test to see the results. You can write as long parameter as you want in the first box, and you can list as many websites as you want in the second box.

If the parameter you entered into the text box prevents google search from crawling your website, or in other words it's blocking google search, you'll have a warning like the following one:

All above means, that, Google search is blocked by line 5 of the parameter, in the example above it's /*#.

When you are writting, and you jump one paragraph down, the empty space in betwen two paragraphs, in robots.txt file it means one line. There is no term paragraph in robots.txt file, it's lines.

There are two User agents (say it web crawlers) provided for the test here, Googlebot and Googlebot-mobile, that's why the test result is double.

Well, now i'd like to talk about How To Add Go To Top & Bottom Buttons On Blogger Blog. These buttons could make senses on your blog, these will help your visitors a lot in case of navigating on your site from top to the bottom side or vice versa. It's sometimes such an hard time for us when we are visiting a webpage and then we are scrolling up and down too much, it's usually happening on a long website, maybe isn't like that on the short ones.

There are some good points of the buttons that you'll likely love. First good point, the buttons that i'm going to give to you here doesn't make use of javascript code, wich you too know that javascript code itself will cost such another load for a website. Second good point, the code the buttons take is surprisingly short. And third good point, there are also a Home and Reload buttons in addition to the top and bottom buttons, but you can also get rid of these buttons suppose that you don't feel comfort with these, and that it will make the code even shorter again.

This require you to edit your template code, so go to Edit HTML tab on your blogger, and don't forget to back up your template code before you start editing.

1. Find the closing tag ]]></b:skin> among your template code and copypass the following code before it.

Editing Instructions

-You can choose to get rid of the images and replace those with a plain text
-you can change the "#footer" with another (CSS command) code as existing in your template code. And that, if your template doesn't contain the code #footer, such the bottom button above will not work, you have to replace it with the existing one in your template

If you prefer to use the simplier version, then ignore the above tutorial and follow the following. There is only a single step to do, find the closing tag </body> among your template code and then copypass the following code above it.

Samsung's SideSync application is such a tool that will facilitate you to manage contents on your Samsung Android Smartphone as you are connecting the device to your computer.

Let's say, suppose that you connect your Samsung Android Smartphone to your computer, and say the computer is running Samsung SideSync application. Such, the contents on your Android smartphone will be backed up by the computer.

It's like Nokia PC Suite i think, but maybe with a different layout. When your device is connected to the PC, SideSync app will show you the device as on a second screen, you can then move from one screen to the another one by tapping on the screen using your mouse. Google has added 5 more languages to Google Translate: Javanese, Bosnian, Cebuano, Masathi and Hmong. Thus, the translator now knows 70 different languages to translate for you. Beside from the official website itself, those 5 new languages are also accessible from many places on the internet, like Apple and iOS apps, Chrome, Gmail, and more.

Speak english, i'm a javanese. It's however more complex to build the translation for my local language, the teritory is realy large, some speak using "O" and some speak using "A", and google takes A for it seems the right choice i guess.

I even speak sundanese, west teritory of java island. I speak Indonesian too, jakarta native language and yet my national language. I even understand Papua New Genue and padang language a little bit.
