The most common issue that oftenly get publishers to remove contents from Google Search is Duplicate Content, but of course that is not the only one cuz there are many reason that realy can cause publishers to do so. That is not something hard to remove contents from Google search even though they're already indexed, all what you have to do is to go to Google Webmaster Tools and submit your removal requests. There are many kinds of content that you can remove from google like article, image, etc. Just make sure that the content is no longer existing on your website before you submit the removal request, like the page returns a 404 or 410 Html Status Code when you accessed it, for example.

In other words, add a robots.txt file to your website and then submit a removal request to Google Webmaster Tools to get an existing content permanently blocked by Google.

When a page is updated or removed, it's actually going to fall out of Google search results, you don't need to do anything with it. However, if you can't wait for it, you can request a removal to have it removed soon. Here is how to request a removal to Google Webmaster Tools.

1. Go to Google Webmaster Tools.
2. Click the site you want.
3. On the left-hand menu, click Optimization.
4. Click Remove URLs.
5. Click New removal request.
6. Type the URL of the page you want to remove and then click Continue. Just note that the URL is case-sensitive, it executes exactly the same characters and capitalization as you type in. Example: removing "http://j-smith-site.blogspot.com/Directory.html" won't remove "http://j-smith-site.blogspot.com/directory.html".
5. Define if to remove the content from search only or remove also the chaced page and proccess it.
6. You're done.
