well, it's time to talk about english language everybody. And for this my first at i wanna try to explain to you, to poeple who seem still dull in "reading" the means of english words, to poeple who want to learn grammar, and especially to improve my own english which "in my teritory poeple call it Amburadul, about "The Simple Present Tense". In simple, The Simple Present is a tense that its use is to tell events that are going on. It has two kind of form, Nominal and Verbal form. The nominal form is to be used without "Verb" but making use of Tobe whereas the Verbal form is to be used with Verbs but without Tobe <-> Pay attention on the following:
Nominal form
1. Positive
- I am a man.
- You are a student.
- they are teachers.
- we are at work.
- She is a bad girl.
- he is a good father.
- It is her dog.
2. Negative
- I am not a man.
- You are not a student.
- they are not teachers.
- we are not at work.
- She is not a bad girl.
- he is not a good father.
- It is not her dog.
3. Interrogative/question
- am i a man ?
- are you a student ?
- are they teachers ?
- are we at work ?
- is she a bad girl ?
- is he a good father ?
- is it her dog ?
Explanation: The Simple Present Tense takes am, is, and are as its tobe <-> to arrange sentences using this form, adhere to the following formulation:
S + Tobe + Object
- He, she, we, they, you, it, are what we call Subject.
- Am. is, are, are what we call Tobe.
- And teacher, dog, girl, "and whatsoever it is" as the object what we are talking about.
- I for use with am.
- you, we, they, for use with are.
- while she, he, it, for use with is.
Verbal form
1. Positive
in this positive one, the Verbs that are used with subjects he she and it should be added with s/es on the ending letters.
- Verbs with ending letter O, S, Ss, Sh, Z, Ch and some more perhaps, should be added with es. (i.e. go=goes. do=does. wish=wishes. kiss=kisses. dsb). While the other Verbs are mostly added with S letter <-> I'm so sorry about this dude.. But you can find it yourself through google if you wanna move further on this matter. it will take a lot of time to explain to you.
Let's go back to sentence everybody. Read and reach the meaning of the below verbal sentence.
- i keep silent.
- you get older.
- they make perfect.
- we go to school every morning.
- she loves me.
- he has two balls.
- it works.
2. Negative
in this form we should add Do not or Does not (Don't or Doesn't) right next to the subjects. And that we can't add S or even Es anymore on the verbs. Take advantage of the following sentences:
- i don't keep silent.
- you don't get older.
- they don't make perfect.
- we don't go to school every morning.
- she doesn't love me.
- he doesn't have two balls.
- it doesn't work.
3. Interrogative/Question
in this form we should add do or does behind the subject/on the start line. Do for use with i you we they. And Does for use with he she it. And one more thing, don't add S or Es on the verbs.
- do i keep silent ?
- do you get older ?
- do they make perfect ?
- do we go to school every morning ?
- does she love me ?
- does he have two balls ?
- does it work ?
Have a nice day everybody.
